Infection Control Nurse

Pride Healthcare is assisting a top healthcare organizationto identify the right person to fill an Infection Control RN opening in Hattiesburg, MS.

Responsibilities:

• Performs under the direct supervision of the Director of Quality Management.
• Primary responsibility is to assure that policies and procedures are developed and implemented to prevent and control infections.
• Oversight authority for cooperating with departments in performance improvement activities.
• Surveillance, analysis, reporting, and recording as well as setting standards and evaluating compliance.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of current regulatory standards and requirements.
• Demonstrates ability to analyze IP data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrates ability to conduct compliance rounds to monitor compliance and provide feedback to managers.

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Current MS or Multistate RN license
• CIC Certification
• Previous experience in the area of infection surveillance, prevention, and control is preferred.
• 2+ years clinical experience in an acute care hospital in an Infection Preventionist position.

Additional Details:

• Tentative start: 5/5
• 13-week contract, with possibility of extension
• Shift: Monday through Friday 8a-4:30 or 5:00pm
• NO weekends or holidays
• Travel Pay: $3446 weekly gross = $2200 weekly taxable + $1246 weekly tax-free stipend
• MUST be 70+ miles from the facility to qualify for this role.
• Travel pay is based on 40 hours weekly (subject to confirmation)
